Default revised parts for computer, please review

I'm going to get 64-bit vista, and I want 4GB, 2 sticks is all I want. Got the case and psu for x-mas. Already bought the video card. So, here we go again.

CPU/Processor - Core 2 Duo E8400 45nm - $245 - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail

HDD's - 250GB / 7200 / 16MB / SATA-300 / Retail - X 2, $160
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 7200 16MB SATA-300 Retail Hard Drive WD2500KSRTL at

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P - $150 - GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3P LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Dynamic Energy Saver Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard - Retail

Ram - G. Skill 4GB (2 X 2GB) DDR2 800 - $90 - G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Samsung CD/DVD Burner - $34 - SAMSUNG Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - OEM

CPU Fan - Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro - $33 - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - Retail

That leaves $712 left to pay for.

The case is cooler master 690, psu is ultra x-connect 2, video card is 8800gt (g92). The psu, on the box, says; Short circuit, in-rush current, and thermal overload cutoff protection. Now, should I even worry if the psu just craps out hard it will take out everything else? Or will those 3 things protect the other components? I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks again in advance.

If your don't need an extra PCI-Express slot (you can't SLI on this board anyway) you could save 50 bucks on this board: - Open Box: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

This ram looks better: - GeIL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Everything else looks good.

The Ultra X-Connect should work just fine.
