If you don't have thermal paste already, I would suggest:
Newegg.com - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - OEM

To clean off the thermal paste, use Isopropyl Alcohol of 70%-99%, to clean it. Put some on a lint-free cloth, like a coffee filter, and rub off the remaining thermal paste.

When you rub off the Stock Thermal Paste, remember to not let it touch the sides of the CPU.
