Default Reformat steps for a noob

Hey guy

as you know im still learning. How do you Reformat your pc so it all works fine I know you need the disk but it would be realy helpulf if someone could make a step by step quide what to do

first off you do realise that formatting erases the data on the hard disk right?

XP will do it for you on one of the steps

Turn PC on, boot from cd drive, insert disk and then save and exit. Follow the steps on screen from there.

It may be a good idea to get all the programs and drivers that you need before hand along with all their COA numbers.
