Hey guys, im pretty much always on the pc, my poor old latitude d610 is comeing to the end of its life and iv got the following desktop in consideration.

Intel core 2 duo 2ghz 2mb cache, 800mhz fsb
Vista home basic
2048mb 667mhz ddr2 ram
320gb sata HD
16x DVD +/-RW drive
512mb NVIDIA GeForce 8300GS turbocache graphics card

Some wireless mouse and keyboard i dug out of my drawer

I basically use the pc for everything, all the time. Note im not a gamer (miniclip:laughing: ?), ill have about 300 songs, alot of my website files. around 8000 pictures of differnt sizes, and your usual everyday files. There wont be many resourse hogging programs, just your usual.

Thanks!

i have heard if your getting vista at all go for Vista Home Premium as basic is crap. - thats just what my mate says who got basic on a new pc he bought

ok if hes not doing gaming why not downgrade you dont need a 512mb gfx card if you play miniclip get a low 7 series save yourself some money

its good but if you are planning no doing gaming you will need a better gfx card
like the 7600gt

he said that very clearly.. he doesnt game.. unless you count miniclip...

how much are u getting that for..

um.. VRAM doesn't affect much, but its i think the 8300gs comes in just 512mb RAM and uses the gddr2 which is why it has so much RAM

whats the diffrence between turbocache and non turbocache?
