Default RAM upgrade fail

i have a hp pavillion elite m9270a
i recently took out the preinstalled 2x1gb memory and installed 2x2gb transcend memory. however this caused problems such as inability to detect usb devices, and appcrashes
does anyone have any ideas why?

Probably because you got the wrong RAM. What kind of RAM did you get?

Are you sure you've got them installed in the proper slots? And your machine has a max of 4gb of memory so you've just got the 2x2gb installed, correct? (HP Pavilion Elite m9270a Desktop PC*)

Can you provide a link to the memory that you purchased just so that we can see it?

Also, have you tried running Memtest to see what errors are generated?

i put them into the right slots cos there is only 2 ram slots, and yes, i only put in 2x2gb=4gb.
Memory diagnostics didnt find any problems
Thx for the quick responses btw

What's the CAS? According to crucial, it needs some weird cas RAM. Like, CL6 for DDR 800.
