ok thanks, and no not yet, i ran the vista mem diagnoses and it hung at 99% so i just shut it down, but if thats the problem ( timings are off) then il just take out one of the sticks, thanks !

Run memtest86 and if you get any errors you have a bad stick!!

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Original author stopped updating it, and Memtest86+ is the updated one now.
