RAM question

Building a new computer and the last thing i need is some RAM, getting 2G's either way. Is it better to get 4 512 sticks or 2 1G sticks? Ive heard mixed answers and am still wondering which one will give me better performance. Thanks!

Personally, I'd get 2x1GB. It'll still be running in dual channel, and if you for whatever reason need to get some more, you won't be replacing any RAM (as you would be if you had 4x512), just adding more.

Thanks for the replies, i just wasent sure if more RAM sticks increased speed or not (dont trust friends =P). Guess ill stick with 2 1G sticks then.
