Question Ram/memory upgrade? help please

ok. im wondering if it is possible to take memory sticks out of one desktop and put them into a diffrent one to upgrade the memory? is this possible. and is there any way some one can guide me

as long as both systems uses same type of memory modules, you can switch them around

unplug the power cord, discharge yourself of static electricity, pop out those sticks, and pop them in the other system.

Just make sure to verify that both systems use the same type of RAM. DDR and DDR2, as well as 100-pin and 168-pin RAM, are not interchangeable.

well i keep hearing a musical beep now every liek 10 seconds or so coming from my tower.. what does that mean (this is after i installed the ram)
