Default Re: RAM

RAM is used to store data that needs to be accessed by the CPU at extremely high speeds and very frequently. Speeds that are unattainable by hard drives.

Default Re: RAM

A program gets loaded from your hard disk containing and preserving the info, to the ram, which contains it in real time for immediate access to those files.

You open internet explorer, the file was found on your hard disk and loaded into memory (ram), where it can be altered and accessed with each click. Think of it like reading a book, the book contains the info and preserves it, but when you need to read it or speak it, it comes from your mouth where you can repeat it or change it to your liking.

haha?
