RAID question

I plan on setting up RAID 0 on my computer when all of my hardware arrives. Both the HDDs and the mobo are RAID compatable. From what I think I know, it is setup throught the system menu, but does RAID require and cables to connect the 2 HDD together? Also is there anything importnant i should know? Thank you.

What the H#ll are you talking about. Two seperate cables are needed to build a Sata raid. (1 with IDE)

I want you to know: That there is no fault tolerence with RAID 0, That being said, Back up your Data often so you won't have to worry about it.

yea ive read about the types of RAID, RAID1 is mirroring, but could you explain the cable hook ups needed for RAID0?
