Radeon X700 Pro or Asus GeForce 6600GT?

I am trying to pick a video card for:

AMD Athlon 64 3500
Asus A8N-E Motherboard
OCZ Gold Series 1GB BH-5 RAM
17" CRT (future upgrade to 17" or 19" LCD)

My choices are ATI X700 Pro 256 MB PCI Express

or

Asus GeForce 6600 GT / 128MB DDR3 / PCI Express

I can get them both for similar prices, i just cant decide which one to go for. I am looking forward to play Call of Duty 2, F.E.A.R, NFS Most wanted mostly. I know I wont get the max performance with that kind of spec, but I will be happy with a steady frame rate and a few decent effects.

Also, I can get either Leadtech or Asus version of the 6600GT card...if I should go for it, which one should it be?

6600GT hands down, I have an MSI version and it's incerdible, max settings on cs source and medium high in battlefield 2, get it.

I can get an MSI version too, I heard it is quieter, dont know if its better than the other versions in any other way (it has VIVO...whats that?).

everything i've seen shows the 6600gt is better than x700 pro. i recently got the eVGA 6600gt myself, and like it a lot. i do know this brand is good quality, but am not sure of the others you mentioned.

The X700pro shouldnt even be in the questions. The 6600GT beats it hands down. My 9800pro even beat a stock X700pro in 3dmark and the 6600GT blows the 9800pro out of the water also.
