Quick RAM question...

more of a confidence question.

Parents computer uses DDR2100 ram, I can buy DDR3200 and it will work right?

well it depends on if you mobo supports it.


If you buy it, it will work fine, but its kinda pointless becuase it will lower its speeds down to 2100 becuase thats what it supports.


To check download everest Home editon and If I remember correctly it should be somewhere in there.


My guess is it dosent support DDR3200 but hey you never know.

well a gig of DDR2100 and DDR3200 is comparably priced and the latter can be purchased anywhere. I doubt it would support it - its an HP pavilion 760c and I guess it only supports up to 1gig of ram.

you wouldnt notice a diffrence any way.


stick with the DDR2100
