Yo, so as I wait for microsoft to send me another copy of Windows XP(should be here im guessing tuesday), I was looking inside my new comp case, and I didn't like those ribbon ide cables, so I just ordered a round cable for my CDRW and my Floppy Drive(yes, a floppy drive, i still use em!) from Newegg

Anyways.. I have a question

I saw that my new floppy drive is missing a pin, i probably knocked it out somehow.. my question about this was will it still work even though its missing a pin?

EDIT! guess i was wrong about the new copy being here tuesday, my mom just brought it up to me.. im pumped.. guess i'll have to use the ribbon cables until the roung ones get here

The floppy is keyed so you don't put it in the wrong way. (thats whey there is a missing pin)

If you do still put it in the wrong way (your cable may not have the same key filled instead of open, you'll know because the green light on the floppy will perpetually be on.
