quick ques. on rpm

Ever since I cleaned my cpu fan, its been running 2500-3500rpm, is that normal? Before I cleaned it, it ran at an avg 1500rpm. Is 2500-3500rpm ok for a CPU fan to be running. I leave my comp on every 2-3 days.

Yeah, thats normal.. you took away all the dust which made it run that much faster...

I guess faster makes sense, it dropped my temps a few degrees..

Hmm this is a little weird...ok today I just rewired my comp once again, but when I turn it back on, the CPU fan is running at 1500rpm. Yesterday it was running a steady 3000rpm after I cleaned it. It's still clean but only runs at a steady 1500rpm. What happened here?

possible that the sensor screwed up?
