Question Questions on my first build

Hi All, I'm making my first build and was hoping for a little input. Can anyone recommend a good fan controller, most reviews I've read show lots of issues? Any advantages to liquid cooling over fans, I'm assuming itís quieter but is that it? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Please dont make multiple topics on the same subject. All it does is create confusion as people will answer in both topics and no one will know what was said in the other topic. Causing not only you to have to check 2 threads for possible answers, but other to check both threads to see what is suggested in each.

Moved to appropriate section.

First question. What's your budget on the whole build?

Second, Are you gonna be overclocking? If not, don't worry about water. Water is for drastic cooling and the main reason to go with it is if you really want to get in there and OC.

Hoping to keep it under $2,000. Right now looking at ASUS Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard - AMD 890FX, AMD HDE00ZFBGRBOX Phenom II 1100T Black Edition Six Core Processor - 3.30GHz, Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 Vengeance 8GB PC15000 DDR3 RAM, EVGA 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked Video Card. The only piece I have right now is my case which arrived yesterday, it's a Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD Edition.

I don't know much about over clocking and probably won't go that route with it.

Ok for $2,000 and AMD build is a little senseless as in that price we can put together a HELLA better Sandy i7 build. Are you brand loyal? (since you also bought the AMD case)

I don't wanna say I am 100% brand loyal but I do prefer AMD over Intel just from previous experiences, but I am open to hear what you could hook me up with within my budget.

Why would it be senseless to do an AMD build for this price?

Because in the $2000 dollar range we can offer something A LOT faster than any AMD build.

If no one has got to you before I get a chance I can throw something together.

Ok, would you get something together for me than? I'm interested in seeing what you come up with.

This will put even the biggest and best AMD to shame and there is plenty of room in the budget if you wanted to get a second monitor or splurge on some peripherals.

I've been looking at a $2000 sandy bridge build + peripherals...if you want to take a look..

Newegg.com - Nippon Labs Premium High Performance HDMI Cable 6 ft. HDMI TO HDMI High Speed Networking Cable A/V Gold Plated
LG - 23" Widescreen Flat-Panel LED Monitor - E2350V
Razer - Mamba Wired/Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse - Black - RZ01-00120100-R3U1
Razer - Lycosa Mirror Gaming Keyboard - RZ03-00180100-R3U1
Cyber Acoustics - 2.0 Speaker System (2-Piece) - CA-2022

This has much the same stuff Abstract Hero put in there. I originally had 1tb, but lowered it because I don't use that much space. Also have lower graphics because I don't need that much awesomeness . Low speakers - don't care for "good" sound. And no motherboard - waiting on Asus to arrive at newegg. HD monitor (my preferred brand), amazing mouse + keyboard.

Newegg: $1,256.91 + $21.60 S&H = $1,278.51
BestBuy (local): $489.96 (no shipping, no tax - I get around $40 for shipping and $30 for tax)

Total: $1,768.47

This leaves a good $200 - $230 for the motherboard
