Hi, I'm in the middle of my first build and have a question about the SATA power cables that connect from my power supply to the hard drive and optical drive.
The power supply is a Corsair Professional Series 750W.
Basically, the SATA cable has two SATA ports - one at the very end of the cable and another near the one at the end. However, I only want to hook up one hard drive with this cable.
I am wondering if I can use the SATA port that is not at the end of the cable (since this port is at a right angle) and leave the rest of the cable tied up in the case. Is this possible, or do I need to use the SATA port at the end if I only want to connect to one drive?
Thanks in advance.
