a question of ram

hello all
ok i got some good advice from several of you all about my 1st build. so thanks a lot.
one of the suggestions from nukem was to use ddr2 675 instead of the 800.
the board i was also interested in says it supports ddr2 800.
this means it can use up any ram up to the 800, right?
and also, can someone post a link to a decent dvd rw

Up to 800, and higher, but it will run at slower speeds.

TheMajor is correct about the memory. As far as the dvd-rw take your pick:

I have a couple of NECs that were like $30 a piece, work great. NEC, LG, Samsung, ASUS, Pioneer, they're all good brands. I'd stay away from LITE-ON, IO Magic, and Sony. All of the sony dvd burners (including one of mine) I've heard about seem to break within 6 months. They even use Pioneers in their VAIO computers rather than their own burners.

I have a NEC ND-3570A, works great. Only used it a couple of times so far.
