Question about an upgrade

First time here, looks like a nice quality forum. anyway here is my delima.
I'm currently running
3.52 GHZ P4 HTT
1 GB RAM
400W PSU
G-force 5200 FX 128 MB

now i want to get a new videocard, would it be worth my money to get a pci-e mother board and get a pci-e 6800 GT OC or would i see littl difference from the 6800 GT OC on an 8x AGP slot?

right now their is no difference between AGP and pcie-16, the only real big thing is upgradability. sense they arent making any new AGP cards right now, they could but i dont see any coming out soon, and all the cards are coming in PCIE-16 form
