I tend to stay away from MSI motherboards as the return rate is quite high (well for us that is) Be sure to check the new asus motherboards that are rock solid although latley we have had some issues with the DDR3 memory compatibility , hope that helps

Hero beat me to the punch. Yes, the mobo will downclock the RAM automatically.
