Default PXE Error

Started on my latest project a month ago and have not finished yet. I took an old PC and took out the hard drive and replaced it with an SSD and new SATA controller. I am getting a PXE error when I got to install the new OS. I think that I have to upgrade the BIOS on the PC to handle the SSD. The SATA came with a CD that has a lot of files for various OSs but not Linux that I am planning on using. I think that i need to go to the company who made the PC and get a new BIOS for Linux. What is your opinion on what my next step is? I have downloaded the OS but I will need to get around this PXE error first.
