Default PSU Compatability

Ok, so I just bought a load of new upgrades for my comp...mainly a new 400watt PSU by epower. Since I still need to get the CPU before I can upgrade, I thought I couldn't wait any longer and decided to put the PSU in and see how well it ran with my existing stuff. It has a 20 pin connector, so I thought it would be fine. For some odd reason, it wouldn't pass the bios screen with the new PSU, so I put the old one back in and it worked fine.

I'm a little afraid that when I put the new mobo (and other parts) in, that the PSU might do the same thing. Whats the deal?

give us more specifications on your new powersupply... or a link or something. does your motherboard accept 20 or 24 pins?

also.. you might wanna run your planned upgrades by us before you go ahead and start buying...
