Default Which PSU?

The very last item I need to decide on for my ground up build, the PSU.

I did a calc of needed power here:
http://jscustompcs.com/
It suggested my reccvomended was 278W

Again as I have been stating in my post's, I am not a gamer!, I am looking to keep it as quiet as possible while staying cool.

I figure these three are big enough with some room to expand (w/ the exception of the 350w)

I am looking at possibly one of these PSU's

1) Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-350 ATX12V
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103934

2) Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-400
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103935

3) Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-380
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103927

Thanks again fro all the replies I have been getting. I am looking forward to letting NewEgg into my wallet and doing my first build.

Thanks

I have used the smartpower and the truepower (I not II) and out of them for quietness I would recomend the Smartpower as only one fan goes on - which is extremly quiet and when the PSU reaches a certain temp the other one will go again and it will still be very quiet.

john3 & Trifid,

Thanks for the refirmation,

I am going to go with that supply and the Cooler Master
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068

or maaaaybe the this antec????
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129152

The case is the herdest choice for me.

I like the antec cuz they're quiet but do not like the door (which helps make it quiet!)

I'll probably change my mind a few more times.

Thanks

Default PSU

BiGyLiLuPdAmIdL,

Good for you. The Cooler Im lookin at is the same thing. better cuz it does not have plexi

Check out this thread:
http://techist.com/showthread.php?threadid=97273

As u can see Im not into getting all excited about what's inside.

And that PSU is to big for my needs.
400w is enough w/ room to grow.(for me)

Thanks tho.

I understand what you're saying but for the price you are paying for those psu's they are junk compared to the fsp one i posted. Ask people around the threads. Antec is a well known name but this fsp psu is good. As for the case. I just liek mine better bcuz it has a side panel window so it looks cooler. And just so you know ur case isn't better cuz it lacks the window. Ya dig?

Default PSU

BiGyLiLuPdAmIdL

The windowless case is Cooler (for me) cuz I don't want a window; u dig brah.

Everyone here seems to think the smart pow 400 is good. Not junk. Not to say your PSU is not better. There will ALWAYS be something better no matter what u are talkin bout.

Have fun looking in ur lil window
