Processor upgrade information

Socket type: 775

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

  • Core 2 Duo E6x00
  • Core 2 Duo E4x00
  • Pentium D 9x0 Dual Core
  • Pentium D 8xx Dual Core
  • Pentium 4 6x1 series
  • Celeron D 3xx series

Yes, you can upgrade to a E6X00

I'd get this: Newegg.com - Recertified: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor E6550-R

Default Re: Processor upgrade

Thanks MindoverMaster,
As you can tell I'm not a genius at this, but would it be faster, better performance at 2.33 GHz ?Not expecting blinding speed either, lol .
