Processor Socket Help

Is there any way to check the socket type of your processor besides opening up your comp and checking from there?

I just was checking to see if there was a quicker way to check this out.
If not, then oh well.

Download something like Everest or CPU-Z, and find the make and model of your motherboard... or, if you know the make and model, goggle up the specs on it.
