Default Problems with connecting graphics card to psu

I have a geforce 7800gt card as shown here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814139175

As you can see, the cord that plugs into the adapter has two male ends. My PSU only has one available female connector. Should i just plug one of the male plugs into the female one and then tie off the other or buy a splitter and plug both into the one female? Will doing any of this even help my get more power to my card?
