problem on my locak disk D..cant format

lately i have reformat my os

after that..i try to open my local disk D...my pc freeze for a while and saying
the disk in the drive D is not formatted do you want to format now? i start to
format to NTFS then freeze my pc..
and i hear some weird sound in my hard drive it and looks like crashing sound.. then my pc turn to dark blue screen and many numbers error blah..blah..blah..showing on it.. theres a part saying need to restart my pc.. and i follow it... untill now i cant acces my local disk D becoz it is not format

then i try to format it using bootable cd...i format it in quick NTFS but same again i hear weird crashing sound!! (im not sure but i think the crashing sound comes from hard drive) and showing again the dark blue screen error..

my local disk C which is my main partition is working fully fine..
so my big problem is my locak disk D..

plz help
by d way my OS is windows xp professional...

thats a tough one for me sorry. try googling around and maybe you'll find a solution.

Go to control panel->administrative tools->computer management->disk management and take a screenprint of that so we can see.

Blue screen of death is for the system to tell you an error code before shutting down next time right down the error code .

The symptoms make it seem like your trying to format a drive with windows on and running but through the windows manager. Thats the only thing I can think of until you tell me the error code
