Problem with HP Pavilion 360n Desktop PC and new hard drive

hello, i recently was passed down a HP Pavilion 360n Desktop PC, not the best of computers but it had the hard drive taken out for the new computer. I have a newer Maxtor hard drive that was in another computer. I hook it up to the MASTER part and turned on the compter and it said OS not found, i then plugged the wire P6 into it and it said the same thing, i went into the config. and it said no master drive with some options to change it, i messed around a bit and still nothing, can anyone help here? I have my windoxs xp disk if thats what it needs.

Yeah, you're gonna have to reinstall Windows. Make sure the jumper settings on the drive are correct, back up any files you may need, and then reformat and reinstall.
