Default The problem between chipset and processor.

What is Chipset and what is Processor? Are they the same thing? Are they any different?

The chipset commonly refers to the northbridge and the southbridge. When you see "nForce" on motherboards, that's a chipset. The processor is your CPU (Central Processing Unit). Intel and AMD are the main CPU companies.

the CPU does the thinking in a computer
a chipset mainly deals with communication between parts

the CPU makes all the calculations, like maths, game physics, etc...
the chipsets control communications, like the video card talking to CPU etc...
