Default Powerpacks, stupid question

My old powerpack gave 300w in power, the new only gives 150w, both are ATX... is this having an adverse effect on my machine? I think obviously, since I have smelt slight burning...do you think it has overloaded it?

Yes, I know that was a incredibly stuupid question.

powerpacks huh, never heard it called that lol, anyways it depends what system you have if your running a p4 or p3 or p2 and so forth. but i cant imagine why you would go from a 300w to a 150w. but back to your questions, yes it is bad for the system to be run with less watts then is required.
