Hello,

On my computer, I have the manual power off switch in the front of the computer (that shuts off the computer or puts it into standby mode), and also the small toggle type switch on the back of the computer that shuts off the mobo.

Is there any reason to shut off the mobo? Why do I have this feature?

Dangerous to leave the mobo power on all the time?

Thanks!

There's really not much need to turn that PSU switch off at the back. The only time I ever use it is when I am moving my computer, or taking it apart. However, I do this before I actually unplug my computer.

Thanks Elbatrop1. Why would power need to go to the mobo continuously? My mobo has a little green light switch to inform the user that power is going to the mobo. Seems like a waste.

I know that features like "Wake on LAN" require that the motherboard be powered constantly.
