Ok all,

I am curious as to the consensus amongst the pro's as to what you guys think about PSU's and single vs. multi 12V rails.

I have read up on numerous reviews and nothing is clear. From what I gathered single is better because you get more Amps than if you split the rails. With this thought I went single rail in my build, but is it really better?

Thanks

thanks Rich. I did read that, but that was what prompted me to this question. Nothing is overly clear there about the rails. I know it kinda says 12V single are better I just wanted to get a more overall consensus from the pro's like you guys. I would believe 5 people over 1, you know?

In my opinion, neither is definitely better than the other. Most PSUs are single rail anyway, with multi-rail PSUs just splitting up the single rail. The PSUs that truly have more than one +12v rail are typically very high wattage PSUs, as well as those for servers.

As long as you have a quality PSU to being with you're fine.
