will a 450 be enough to power everything, evga recomends a 500w supply, but 450w on the 7800gt is the base requirements

Yes, it is. A good 380w PSU could handle it also. They say that since must PSUs are'nt as good. That 380w is better than some 600w PSU on the market.

Best advice in the thread. Those watt ratings are decieving, and the video card manufacturers treat them as such. They overestimate watt ratings, because CRAPPY power supply manufacturers give you 30A on the 5V rail for some reason... The 36A on the 12V rails will be MORE than enough.
