Default Power Supply Question

Does anyone have any good links or rules of thumb as to what size of power supply in terms of wattage would be sufficient for a new computer? For example, how many watts does an average video card require, a CPU, etc...

Thanks in advance.

Google "power supply calculator" and you can add up based on what specs you pick. The journeysystems.com calculator seemed to provide for your needs.

Actually this is exactly what I was looking for:

eXtreme Outer Vision - eXtreme tools for computer enthusiasts

I looked at the journeysystems.com link but it was kind of outdated. This one had newer components to choose from. Thanks for help
