Power Supply connections

are the power supply conectios one size fits all or do different components have different sizes.

ill put it into context im building a new computer (first time) actually im upgrading but im changing the mother board, processor, graphics, ram, almost everything and i don't know which power supply cable goes where

any help will be appriciated

PSU connections are not one size fits all. All the different components have different sized connections. And they all are designed to fit in only one way.

On a side note : Is the computer you're upgrading a prebuilt computer, or did someone build it for you? Chances are with the upgrading, you're getting more powerful components, so an upgraded power supply may be necessary.
