I don't know what's good or not anymore :(

My budget is around £2-300 (Guideline, not a target :D) I'll be using Scan.co.uk: Leading supplier of Computer Hardware because of it's close location (I'd like to get it built before Christmas)

I need an almost full tower (although I could probably skip the casing too, but it's a bit of a dust magnet so it might be a good idea to replace it) I don't need a monitor or other peripherals. I also don't need a graphics card as I have a GT240.

I'm not worried about upgrading in the future, or overclocking. I only really play WoW and Source games. Starcraft 2 when that's also released but I think anything I get now will run that

Thank you very much to those who help :)

so basically you just need the tower? you need an OS also or no?

by "other peripherals", you mean like mouse + keyboard, speakers etc, are not needed?

Just the tower yes. Minus a graphics card

No OS needed. I like XP and haven't really needed to upgrade it,

Thank you very much for taking the time to do that :)

Going by first glances, that seems pretty overkill for what I want to do.

Is there a cheaper alternative for the cpu and memory?

i suppose you could sacrifice 1 core
Scan.co.uk: ADX425WFGIBOX - AMD Athlon II X3 425, Triple Core, Rana, S AM3, 2.7GHz, 1.5MB Cache, HT 2000MHz, 95W, Retail
55.28

or even 2 cores..... starting at 44.91

but memory wise - 4 GB kits all hover around that price, even for DDR2 memory

you could switch to this power supply unit to shave off a few pounds
Scan.co.uk: sp-ss500w Compatible with Intel ATX 12 V - 500w Silverpower SP-SS-500 "Green Power" 80 Plus Certified,Intel ATX 12V, 6×Serial ATA
47.71
