Please Help!! AMD Athlon and RAM

I have a AMD Athlon Processor (year 2000)
1.01 GHz, with 256 MB of Ram.

I want to upgrade my Ram, but I dont know if there is a limit that it can go to.

All I know is that the ram should be the same make as some are not compatiable.

Please help!!

if you want to know how much RAM and what type you need go over to Crucial's website. They got a great little online tool that will tell you what and how much your motherboard can handle.

You need to download this tool but it does not invade your privacy per se nor is there any spyware, malware, or adware.
