well aside from the fact that the memory isnt even compatible (different sockets), i'd recommend waiting for the price of the E4300 to drop and go Core 2 Duo.

oh and you missed the PSU so i'll give you what i would recommend:

E4300
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115013

GIGABYTE GA-945PL-S3 LGA 775 Intel 945PL
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128025

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145568

SeaSonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151023

I should also mention you may want to wait and get one of the new 8600 Ultras that are soon to be released form Nvidia

change out the parts i posted above and you should be good to go, Oh and Welcome to the Forums, hope you like it here

Pentium D is plain garbage. I would recommend waiting as COD2 mentioned.

Thanks for looking, but do I need a core 2 duo for a machine that will only be running WOW?
Would I be okay with that CPU/mobo and your corsair ram?
The extra $70 puts me over budget, but if it would make that much of a difference I would get it.
and thanks for pointing out the ram to me.

And this is the PSU I picked out:
[POWER SUPPLY]
Rosewill RD500-2-DB ATX V2.2 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CSA, TUV, FCC - Retail

You'll be better off with a EVGA 7600GS.

The x1800gto is better than the 7600gs, overclockable and unlockable(not sapphires, though, they aren't unlockable.)
