AMD has better architecture.

At 2.2Ghtz it can out perform a 3.8 in gaming.

yes with amd they run at lower clocks but they can do more than the equivalent intel chips. For example,an athlon 64 3700+ runs at 2.2 ghz, but it is equivalent to if not better than an intel p4 3.7ghz. If you want heavy gaming go amd.

I suggest the athlon 64 x-2's
The amd fx-seris. They are especially made for heavy gaming.
New build in progress, but this is what I got for now:
-AMD x2 5200+
-Asus M3A78-EM AM2+
-Buffalo 2x1gb ddr2 800
-Hitachi 250gb Sata HDD
-Antec Minuet Case w/ 350w psu
-Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
