Pentium MMX problem

anyway,

there is no beep when it start up, dead monitor, hdd led does not flash

psu?

bios: AMI (nothing about 0 beep or dead psu on bioscenteral)
motherboard: AOpen AP5VM

i'd change the psu, but...there is a black wire going to the start button, and the case doesn't have the newer power on with the wire going to the motherboard.
i don't have the manual so i can't even look at the panel to see if it even supports that way of boot up to move it to a new box.

I would think that it's the PSU. How much wattage does it have? And what is installed in the PCI slots?

Some local shops may have an old psu like that, I've seen them before in my area. It's my opinion that either the psu or the mobo is dead and I don't know if it's worth the time or money to fix this system. A new psu might be $10US, same for a new motherboard. You may just be better to pick up a cheap replacement system and part out the old one.

yea, i know it's not worth upgradin', the lady just wants it for her kids to play some old school games. no biggie if it can't be upgraded.
thre are a computer shops around here i'l probably check out tommorrow.
