PC2100 DDR RAM

Ive got an old motherboard and it only supports PC2100 RAM. Ive currently got 256MB RAM and I just wanted to know if an extra PC2100 256MB RAM will make a significant difference. Ive heard that PC2100 RAM is pretty lame and I just wanted to ask for some feedback before going out to buy it.

So is it worth it?

You will notice a big a difference. I don't see how upgrading can be "Lame", also, if your motherboard can only support PC2100 then you really have no choice.

My comp uses PC2100. It ain't the best, but that's what it takes.

Going from 256 to 512 will make a difference, especially if you game. Even Windows will work quicker/smoother.

I went from 512 to 640, and saw a slight increase...

you can buy PC3200 ram if its cheaper, cause the older ram is more expensive
