PC ram help

One of my ram died,
everytime i turn it on it said theres a major error and shuts off my comp (blue screen)
and the slot the ram was in is not working either
so i need to buy a whole new ram because my computer is running really slow with 1gb of ram
My computer is Acer Aspire Am1640-E1510B

The two ram deals I saw was

Which one should I buy? The Wintec one is about $5 cheaper

If you know your ram slot is bad, then you may want to invest the $$ into another motherboard, because if that one continues to go bad, you could use your last good stick of memory as well, if not more.
