Hi,

I just built a new PC and installed a RAID 0 . So, I created 2 partition drives (C and D).

I wanted to install ONLY the OS on C and EVERYTHING else on D.... so, I installed Win XP on C.

So, I started installing updates (such as SP2) and some driver updates.... however, they defaulted to install on C and I could not change it.

Is there a way to change it so ALL new installations will install on D ?

Also, things such as IIS folder (wwwroot), and My Documents were also created on C.

Is there a way to change this all to D ?

Any suggestions?

I wouldnt put SPs on a seperate partition (if you even can). I would also keep drivers on the same partition as your OS.

To change your 'My Documents' folder to D, just right click it, and click the 'Move' button, and choose wherever you'd like it to be.

I have good success with this method, but I put my OS, and some other high-demand programs on my 10k rpm HD, while every thing else went on my 7200rpm HD:D
