partition ssd?

Been looking at SeaGate's hybrid drives.

Seagate Solid State Hybrid ST1000LM014 1TB Laptop Hard Drive - Newegg.com

Interesting to see that WD is taking a slightly different approach with hybrid drives.

Either that, or I could just get one of those ODD drive bay converter and put an SSD in there, then have 3 drives, and just put the ODD in an enclosure and use it as an external if I need one. Too bad I don't have mSATA slots :(.
I like WDs approach. It's a real SSD that gives you real benefits of the SSD with the additional 1TB of storage in the same spot. I do no recommend SSHD to anybody because having 8GB of SSD cache doesn't do much as you're still at the mercy of the spinning architecture.
