I plan on going with the JBOD method. I have 2 320GB SATA hard drives.

When i instal windows xp, i plan on taking the 640GB hard drive space and i plan on making a 80GB partition to install the operating system. When windows is up and running, what will happen to 540 GB of unpartitioned space?

i'm new to partitioning. How do i access that space? when i compete the install will it appear as another drive?

how do i access the rest of the space cause i wish to seperate the space into 2 equal partitions...

you'll have to partition the remaining space again using disk management in windows.

Yes. Start --> Run --> diskmgmt.msc (Windows XP)
