When looking for graphic cards put these in order of importance and performance boost. I'm looking into upgrading from a FX5500. Budget for GPU is $180 maxed.

Core clock, memory clock, memory interface, and memory type.

A video card's performance can not be judged upon those physical features anymore, things have become much more tricky. Before we can suggest a possibel upgrade, we will need to know the video card interface, which must be PCI or AGP (I'm pretty sure it's PCI, but you need to confirm this first).
