Default Onboard video?

I know decent amount about computers, more than most, but I'm still learning and I'm building my first computer, and I'm trying to make it a low-budget half-decent gaming computer, and I just play CS:CZ so I only need the max 100fps on a low graphics game, so it's not that hard to make a cheap comp for the game.

But I need to know, can you remove onboard video and put a new video card on? I found the perfect mobo, but I want a new video card and the mobo has onboard video.

You should be able to disable the onboard video in your BIOS upon starting your PC. I believe that this action is recommended.
