Here's my build suggestion. Heck, I've done this build so many times (with minor tweaks) that I can almost do it from memory.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - $313.00 Link
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 - $118.99 Link
Memory: G.Skill 2x1GB DDR2-800 - $139.99 Link
Video Card: eVGA 8800GTS 320MB - $279.99 ($20 MIR) Link
Hard Drive: Seagate 320GB SATA 3.0 - $84.99 Link
Optical Drive: LG 18X DVD+/RW - $28.99 Link
Monitor: Hanns.G Black 19" LCD - $169.99 Link
Power Supply: FSP Group 450W - $50.99 Link
Case: XION Onyx Mid Tower - $64.99 ($25 MIR) Link

Total: $1251.92 - ($45 total rebates)

Missing: Keyboard, Mouse and Speakers (if you don't have those we can squeeze them into the budget).

EDIT: Fixed links - Thanks, Ellothar121.

case: antec 900
mobo: Abit AW9D-Max
Cpu: E6600
Ram: g-skill 4x1gb
hdd: 2x 320gb Seagate barracuda 7200.10 in raid 1
graphics card: 8800gts 320mb
psu: antec true power trio 430w
hsf: scythe ninja
Assuming you're not planning on upgrading a whole lot, I don't see anything wrong with Saltynay's build. If 430W doesn't seem like enough, he can always go and get this version. Personally, I'd go for the Gigabyte $210 mobo. It has an extra PCI, 1 more PCI-E x1 (I'unno), and still has SLI.

By the way, that case looks awesome.

Build I'd recommend:
Quote:

case: Antec 900 ($119.99)
mobo: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 ($118.99)
Cpu: Intel E6600 ($313.00)
Ram: 2x Patriot DDR2 800 1GB RAM ($70.99/ea) (141.98)
hdd:1x 320gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 in raid 1 ($74.99)
graphics card: EVGA nVidia 8800GTS 320mb ($259.99 after $20 mail-in rebate)
psu: Antec true power trio 430w ($79.99)
Subtotal: $1109

Monitor: Sceptre 19" Monitor ($149.99 after $30 mail-in rebate)

Mouse: Logitech MX310 ($24.99)
OR
Sunbeam FireLine Blue Illuminated Scroll Wheel ($5.99)

Keyboard: Logitech Standard Keyboard ($8.99)

Speakers:
DCT Factory 600W 2.1 Black Speaker ($7.99)
Total: $1282-$1301
EDIT: Meithan, please check your links.

The Link that should be for the case is the Monitor, the link that should be the PSU is the Case, and the link that should be the Monitor is the PSU...

EDIT: Finally done; I added in the speakers, mouse, and monitor; Using this, you'll only be (MAX) $1 over. I'd personally go with the Sunbeam Fireline mouse (That thing looks awesome).
