The 7950 is better by a little bit.

all the 7950 is, is the 7900GT clocked higher... everything else between the cards is the same... so by saying that a game will play on a 7950 and not on a 7900 is not true at all.

http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....=445&card2=384

personally I would get the 7900GT as long as it's cheaper.

the card you picked is good. it's the underclcked brother of the GT... it's got some pipes locked, and it's clocked lower, but it's still the same chip as the gt...

there is not a game out there right now that will say you HAVE to have a 7950... but you can use a program called rivtune to unlock the pipes..

7900GT, 7900GTX, or 7900GS?

7950GT, 7950GX2?

Probably something like this ...

7900GT < 7900GS < 7900GTX = 7950GT < 7950GX2
