Default Notebook Video Cards

Can you put any ordinary video card in a notebook? I've heard you can, but I certainly have my doubts. It seems as though not all the video cards would even fit properly. Perhaps someone can shed some light on the subject. Thanks.

Whoever told you that is nuts. It's not possible to put a regular video card in a laptop, nor is it really possible to upgrade the GFX card at all in a laptop.

If that's the case, can you buy a laptop mobo w/ a gfx card and switch it out, upgrading both?
