For $500 you could build something faster than any of the parts you want to use. Let me see what I can cook up.

OD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136144

Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147153

GPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102874

PSU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139018

RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231180

MOBO/CPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.547260

$446.94 leaves room for an HD of your choice.

There's a lot of issues with your suggestion fr34ky. That x3 is good but I think I got this solid.

It isn't going to run anything at high settings but it's a start.

I disagree. It is worth keeping, just what do you want to put them in? Not a half-way decent gaming rig, but there are other tasks that would make it worth keeping.

It looks good, mate. Be sure to try unlocking that 555 to see if the other cores are good or not.

I would go for the new PSU.

You could get a faster card than a 5570 for that price if you looked around- those cards aren't good enough to take advantage of DX11. While I would normally say go for a corsair power supply, the Corsair CX line is terrible. Stay away from those units.
